Best time to visit Kashmir

Kashmir experiences four distinct seasons. Spring is between March to early May, Summers are from late May to August, September to November is Autumn season and December to February are the chilly winters. Nishat Garden:-

Located on the bank of the Dal Lake, with the Zaberwan Mountains as its backdrop, Nishat Bagh is a garden of bliss that commands a magnificent view of the lake beneath the snow capped Pir Panjal mountain range that stands far away to the west of the valley. The Bagh was designed and built in 1633 by Asif Khan, elder brother of Nur Jehan.

Shalimar Garden:-

The Shalimar Bagh is the celebrated royal garden of Kashmir. The Emperor Jahangir was so fascinated with the garden that he called it "one of the sights of Kashmir." Shalimar Bagh is located on the northeast side of Lake Dal, approximately fifteen kilometers away from the center of Srinagar. It was laid out by Jahangir as Farah Baksh ("the delightful") in 1619, while he was founding the city of Srinagar

Cheshma Shahi

Cheshma Shahi ( the royal spring), also called Cheshma Shahi, is one of the Mughal gardens built around a spring by Ali Mardan, a governor of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, in 1632. The garden is located in the Zaberwan Range, near Rajbhawan (Governor‘s house) overlooking Dal Lake in Srinagar, Kashmir.

Devotees on a pilgrim trip to the holy Amarnath caves (Lord Shiva’s abode) halt in Pahalgam as the base camp before continuing their journey to the shrine. Pahalgam is an ideal spot for activities such as fishing, trekking and hiking and the city also attracts a lot of tourists for its picturesque beauty of the Liddar valley.


Sonmarg is the perfect destination to enjoy the snow peaked mountains from the various hill resorts in this region. Sonmarg is known to be the gateway to Ladakh and the beautiful flora here is fostered by the river Sindh which flows through the region. Sanasar is known as the mini Gulmarg and is remote hill station in Jammu & Kashmir region. The town is constructed in such a way that it looks like a cup and is surrounded by large coniferous trees. Some activities that are available here are parasailing, paragliding and horse riding. Zanskar is the trans-Himalayan valley which experiences winters. This region is fostered by the popular Zanskar river and has a diverse topography. The population here majorly follow Buddhism. The flora here is majorly thick vegetation encompassing the Tundra, Alpines and the blue poppies.
